Maria von Trapp, last of well-known singing sibs, expires at 99
The few had seven kids: Agathe, Rupert, Maria, Werner.
Georg von Trapp's 2nd wife, Maria Kutschera von Trapp, composed a novel titled "The Tale of the Trapp Family Singers," which triggered two German-produced films and "The Sound of Songs."
In 1959, the perform "The Sound of Songs" opened on Broadway. Julie Andrews, in arguably her most well-known character, performed the portion of Georg's spouse, Maria, in the 1965 movie. Christopher Plummer performed Baron von Trapp.
